ACNE PHOTOTHERAPY

Acne-Treatment Acne is a disorder of the skin' s sebaceous glands that results in clogged pores and breakouts of lesions. Acne-causing bacteria can only live where there is no oxygen. Doctors now know that exposing the clogged pores to special wavelengths of light causes a photothermal reaction that releases oxygen, killing the bacteria. Acne begins with the natural oils in your skin along with the cells your skin sheds every day. They build up and clog the pores beneath the skin' s surface. The clogged pores trap acne bacteria inside. As theses bacteria multiply, they cause inflammation and other symptoms of acne.

One of the most common skin diseases, over 80% of the population aged 14-30 will suffer from acne, regardless of gender or skin type, and 25% of these will have permanent scars. If you' ve got it, you can' t miss it. The pimples, the aggravation, the embarrassment. You are also not alone. Acne affects more than 90% of teenagers and 25% of adults, including almost half of adult women. For some, it is simply annoying. For many others, however, acne is a significant problem that has a high impact on their lifestyle, self-esteem, and quality of life.

Each year, approximately 5 billion dollars is spent on acne treatment, most of it on medication. However, many of these acne medications, ranging from over-the-counter (OTC) to prescription, are expensive and may cause significant side effects. Many acne prescription drugs require monthly blood test to monitor for liver and kidney damage. Acne-Phototherapy Now, fighting acne is no longer a losing battle. XtremeClear- a new generation of acne treatment systems using the unique LHE (Light and Heat Energy) technology greatly improves inflammatory acne lesions in approximately one third the time it takes for standard topical and oral treatments to do the same. The green-yellow light penetrates deep into clogged pores, triggering a photothermal reaction that causes oxygen to be released, killing the acne bacteria. Red light also penetrates inside the pores to reduce inflammation. Deep soothing heat helps open up the clogged pores and speeds up the photothermal process that kills bacteria. A series of eight treatments over a four week period is all it takes to get back on the road to dramatically clearer, smoother, skin. Each treatment is simple and takes just 15 minutes. There are no adverse side effects, discomfort, patient downtime, or exposure to antibiotics. Patients have found clear touch to be safe, simple, and very effective.
